> Thursday Mens Final Results   (posted Mar 24, 2017)

The Thursday Mens League wound up on the March 23 early draw (see final standings ).
Both the Sean McCreary  and Rob Egilson teams went 4 -1 in the last round of "A" group play. The tie breaker rule to declare   the Thursday League championship for 2016 - 2017 gave Rob's team the mugs.
The top two point leaders on the season for Thursday were the Rob Egilson team with 195 and the John McLachlan team with 168. They both earn passes to the "Club Championship"  post season event.
In "B" group last round play, the Ryan Kurtz team finished off the season winning all 5 of their games.

> Another Website Outage  (posted Mar 22, 2017)

Our Deer Lodge website went down starting just after midnight last night.
The problem  was again at our host provider's server site.
Service was restored at approximately 1:30 pm today.
We can work around the problem for now.  Our host provider is in the process of making a permanent fix.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

> Monday Mens Final Results   (posted Mar 21, 2017)

The Monday Mens League wound up on March 20 (see final standings ).
The Rob Keough team went 4 -1 in the last round of "A" group play to claim the Monday League championship for 2016 - 2017.
The top two point leaders on the season get a automatic bye into the "Club Championship"  post season event.
The Rob Keough team with 177 points earns the first spot.  There is a 3 way tie for the second spot as the Ian Mahon, Matt Peterson and Keith Marshall teams finished with 170 points each.  The tie breaker rule doesn't work as each team has 1-1 records in games played against each other in round 4.  It does appear that they will all qualify for the "Club Championship"  event anyways as they should be in the top 16 teams in total points on the season.
In "B" group last round play, the Verne Sheldon team finished off the season winning 4 of their 5 games.

Mens Monday and Wednesday night leagues will be scheduled on the early draw, the same as last year.

The following announcement was received from Curling Canada :
.... Thanks to the incredible generosity of curlers across Canada,10 scholarships are available again for young men and women pursuing their academic and athletic goals at university or college. The application deadline is June 30, so there is lots of time to apply.
This year, the scholarship program helped young curlers like Janique Leblan, who went on to win gold with Team Nova Scotia at the 2016 World Juniors.
All of the recipients were able to accomplish amazing things, on and off the ice. But it is only thanks to the generous donors who gave at the 2015 golf tournament; the sweeps of the crowd at the championship events; the online auctions; and to the direct mail appeals that these scholarships are available. We are very grateful for everyone’s support as are the students!
Last year we had over 60 applications from all across Canada. The caliber of students was unbelievable. It is wonderful to know both our sport and country are in such good hands!
Please click on :  http://www.curling.ca/scholarship2016 for more information and the application process.
