Nancy
Rummery, Past President (89-90) and HLM of Deer Lodge Ladies Curling
Club
was formally inducted into the Builder
category of the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame at their induction Dinner
held on Sunday May 6, 2012 at Canad Inns Polo
Park.
There were several tables of Deer Lodgers and family members in
attendance.
This was a very special occasion for the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame
being its 25th
annual event.
In addition to the usual curling dignitaries, special guests
included Honourable Philip S. Lee, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba and
his wife Anita as well as Andrew Swan Minister of Justice and Attorney
General. Needless to say the speeches took up more of the evening
than usual, but oddly enough were interesting and entertaining.
