Golf  Day and Registration 2007                            (posted June 6, 2007)

Two years in a row, another great sunny day for our annual golf day !
Sorry no pictures this year as the camera was forgotten at home.
Colin McLachlan organized the teams for tee-off on Tuesday afternoon June 5 at the Assiniboine Golf Club.
48 golfers participated in the afternoon's event. As usual the bar cart was in great demand.
After golf it was time to move over to Deer Lodge for the steak barbecue.
As promised,  last year's problem with the cold barbecue was fixed.
This year, master chefs Dan Sul, Brent Mackie and George Smith tended to the cooking.
Prepared to each individual's specifications, the tasty steaks were ready within a minute or two after purchasing a plate.
A great round of applause to the chef's from us all !
Thanks also to Kenworth Custom Trucks for supply of the heavy duty barbecues.
After all the scores were tallied up, again to no one's surprise, the low score for the day was posted by Pat Doyle ( 69 ).
Gary Lacey had the second lowest score (76)  and Bob Pattie collected 3rd prize with an 81.
Curling applications for the 2007-2008 season were collected and door prizes were handed out.
Thanks to Garry Parker for donation of the 2007 Team Sponsorship Curling Calendar which was auctioned off.
The winning bid of $35 came from Bruce McBeth, visiting from Ireland.
The final event for the evening was the draw for the free membership
All the submitted applications were shuffled for President Mitch Njegovan to select from.
The lucky winner drawn was Harvey Dube.
The event was organized by the Colin McLachlan and Rob Keough.
A special committee is already working on plans for next year to increase participation and liven up the event.
Special thanks to Jody and Shirley for managing the bar.
