Award Nomination

TO ALL DEER LODGE CURLING CLUB MEMBERS

This notice is part of the Sam Brown Memorial Volunteer Award nominating and approval process, established by the Board of Directors in 2003. This process provides for individual input from members at large.  This award is open to any male, female or  couple who have been an active member of Deer Lodge Curling Club for at least 10 years.  This award primarily is to  recognize voluntary work.   Individuals whose achievements are in curling executive roles or through curling prowess would be more appropriately recognized through a nomination for Honorary Life Membership (HLM).
     
A Nomination Review Board, comprised of the Club President, Past President and the First and Second Vice-presidents, will be convened early in March by the club Secretary (non-voting) to review nominations.  Nominations will be discussed and voted upon with simple majority ruling.  Only one person or couple may receive the award annually.

The Secretary will forward the final selection to the Board of Directors for its approval. Presentation of the Sam Brown Memorial Volunteer Award will be made at the Men’s Windup or the Annual meeting, whichever is deemed appropriate.

Please forward any nominations in a sealed envelope to the Secretary at the club via regular mail or through the mail slot in the Board Room door at the club.
