Signatures on Entry Forms for MCA Qualifying Events
(posted October 10, 2004)
We have been informed by Resby Couts, MCA Event Coordinator, that
Manitoba curlers entering MCA qualifying events no longer have to get a
club officer to sign their entry form to confirm their membership in
the club. This should simplify the entry process and avoid delays.
This does not remove the need for teams to be club members as required
by event rules. These rules of eligibility remain unchanged from last
year. A signature is still requested on entry forms that are printed
and sent back by fax or mail. The MCA asks one of the team members sign the
form on behalf of the team. The signer should understand that
he/she is certifying the team members do comply with MCA rules in
regard to eligibility (age, club membership, etc) as outlined on the
entry form.
According to Resby, the MCA does not require signatures for entries
made via Email or via their website.
