Little Rocks & Bantam
Welcome to another year of curling at the Deer Lodge Curling Club.
Here is some basic info that curlers and parents need to know about the upcoming season.
Time slots: Sundays
Little Rockers (aged 6-9) 3:30-4:15 pm Bantams (aged 9-15) 3:30-5:30 pm
Cost Little Rocks - $130 Bantams - $150
Equipment Needed
Clean runners that have not been worn outside or curling shoes. No outdoor shoes of any kind are allowed on the ice. A properly sized gripper and slider are required for safety reasons. A proper broom is needed but a loaner can be borrowed from the club.
This equipment can be purchased from most sporting goods stores or curling outlets. Please mark the curlers equipment for easy identification.
Stretchy pants, sweats or track clothes are recommended. Layered clothing, like a warm sweatshirt, vest or lightweight jacket should also be worn with gloves or mitts.
All sessions will start on time so try to be early to get changed and ready for stretching or warm-ups. If you are unable to attend, please contact us.
Parents
We need your help both on and off the ice. Those with curling experience can help with some basic instruction for the young curlers. Students wanting credit for Community Services are welcome as well.
